Elopement |
They are the best... but why? Because they are the culminating of months of planning and build up, to the joining of two people, becoming united through marriage, by declaring your love and commitment to one another. This can be in front of any amount of people that you choose, including poems, readings, vows, music, rituals, whatever you choose. And at the end of the day, it is a legal binding ceremony.
|
Do you just want the day to be about YOU TWO? Want to get married but keep it personal and private? An elopement could be the perfect choice for you. It allows the freedom of you to choose how you make your commitment and vows to one another, without any outside influence. A magical and intimate way to make your dreams come true. The 2 of you, me, 2 witnesses and a photographer.

Vow RenewalWhat better way to celebrate your life in marriage with a meaningful and touching tribute with a renewal of vows ceremony. A time to reflect on your life together, memories created, and achievements accomplished. Inviting your close loved ones to celebrate with you, and re-affirm your love and devotion.
|
Naming CeremonyA way of expressing the joy and celebration of the birth of your child, and introducing them to their new world and loved ones. Creating a personal ceremony unique to your family, however you to choose to present this. An alternate option to a religious ceremony, which may not suit everyone.

FAQ's
How far in advance shoud you book your celebrant?
Honestly, the earlier the better. For any marriage you must complete of a Notice of Intention to Marry, which can be done as early as 18months and MUST be done with a minimum of one calendar month before your wedding date. However, celebrants do become booked up, and to avoid any last minute stresses, I advise just ticking it off your to-do list!
Can i have a surprise wedding?
100% you can surprise your guests, but unfortunately you cannot surprise your spouse. All legal documents must be completed beforehand with both individuals knowingly and willingly going in to the marriage.
What is the role of the celebrant?
Authorised celebrants have an important role not only because of the legal consequence of marriage, but also because of its central significance to the parties, both individually and as a couple. As an Authorised Celebrant, it is critical to my role to make sure that everything is done according to the Marriage Act and the Marriage Regulations, and that all necessary steps are taken to ensure the marriage will be valid.
In regards to dress code, I will clarify with the couple what sort of vibe they are intending, but will always ensure that I am dressed professionally and appropriately and will try not to wear colours that may match the bridal party.

Elopement or wedding?
This is completely at the discretion of the couple. Elopements are becoming more and more common due to the financial relief it takes off the couples and also due to the intimacy of the ceremony. You don't need to attend a registry office to have a small legals only wedding. I offer competitive prices to suit each couple in a location of your choice. Please be aware that the amount of work that goes into the smaller packages is still a lot as all the same paperwork must be completed.
Weddings can also occur on any day of the week, with weekdays also becoming a little more popular, as they can sometimes work out a little more cost effective than a weekend wedding. As long as you have your Authorised Celebrant and 2 x witnesses you can get married anywhere at any time!

are permits reqUIRED for weddings?
For a lot of public places, permits can be required for weddings. You will need to allow adequate timing to plan this with respective councils, national parks, government or wildlife services to see what boundaries are in place for different locations. There are so many fantastic places to choose from so be sure to check them all out.
How long does a ceremony take?
Again, this very much depends on the couple's wishes. Generally, a ceremony takes around 20-30 minutes, but this varies depending on how much detail is included in the script. Whether it's a full love story, to a short but sweet summarization, to including personal vows or rituals. A wedding rehearsal can give you a good inclination of this.
what if i need to postpone?
You must legally have 2 witnesses, both over the age of 18, sober and with a good understanding and speaking of the English language. This can be your children as long as they meet these legal requirements.
What does the celebrant do on the day?
I always aim to arrive at least 30-45 minutes early in order to set up and prepare for the ceremony. This includes testing the PA system, ensuring all documents are ready for signing and liasing with anyone involved in the ceremony and other vendors.
Will my celebrant travel for the ceremony?
ABSOLUTELY! Travelling as always been a huge passion of mine, and having travelled so much of Australia, heading to a ceremony in a different location is totally a passion of mine! Let me know at the time of your enquiry, and I will include this in the package price. Prices may vary depending on how far the distance to travel is, but this will be discussed in your service agreement.
